LEHMANN, Germany, "Bucking Broncho", Wild West, marked DR Patente, Engl. Patents, BTS S.G.D.G France and Belg., PAT. 42374 in gold letters on a green background... and PAT USA 19 June 1906 & Canada, N°625. This brown horseback cowboy in painted sheet metal is mounted on a green base in lithographed sheet metal with 4 wheels, in which the mechanism is hidden. A small fixed oval key on which D.R.P. and Lehmann's figure is mounted allows to wind up the coil spring. Once set in motion, the horse rears up on its front legs, and makes its rider (held by the reindeer) tumble. Beautiful original specimen which can appear in any collection of mechanical toys... Attic state... Lg. 22 cm/15 cm Ht.
