38. DISTLER, (JDN),"Uncle Wiggily's Crazy Car", Made in Germany, c. 1928; Rarely and pretty little mechanical automobile" made of lithographed sheet metal, and in colourful colours, in the centre of which should appear a sheet metal rabbit in costume and wearing a top hat, as well as a suitcase with the initials U.W. (missing rabbit...), or a comic persomage with a cap.... It has a JDN trademark, for Johan Distler in Nürnberg... Steerable front wheels, and 1 small additional wheel under the vehicle to make it change direction when it hits an obstacle! Interesting model considering its age (90 years old), its very nice general condition and its small size, despite the fact that the rabbit is absent...! It is inspired by "Uncle Wiggily's crazy car" (USA), which inspired a "Comic book Series" in the USA, and the making of some variants of this toy (including a blue sports car N°3). Current value in the U.S.A. (so complete and in good condition): 3.000 to 4000 $, Size: 20,5 cm (Lg), Very nice opportunity if the missing rabbit is lying in one of your spare parts drawers.
