Jacquet Maximilien Joseph (Brussels 1794-1870 Brussels)
SOLITARY in hard porcelain includes: a tray, a teapot, a sugar pot and a cup with saucer, period 1839-1866
with sides; decoration royal blue bottom and ornamentation in classic gold in the taste of Sevres,
signed "Jacquet à Bruxelles". In perfect condition.
JACQUET was the apprentice and then one of the best painters at Frédéric Faber, the first factory in Ixelles. In 1831, he creates his own workshop and associates from 1834 to 1839 with Nédonchelle, date of the latter's death. Jacquet sells all his workshop to Mrs. Veuve Vermeren Coché in 1866 of the 2nd manufacture of Ixelles.
Observation
Knowing that the form with sides was invented in Paris in 1834, the signature only of Jacquet places automatically the manufacture of this service between 1839 and 1866
