PLATES WITH BOTANICAL DECORATION (18) 2nd manufacture of Ixelles, period L. and M. Demeuldre-Coché (1901-1933) and period Mrs. Marthe Demeuldre Coché and Mr. Henry Demeuldre (1933-1941), round flat plates with botanical decoration with gold bands, arabesques and wolf teeth on a green wing. Some plates, including six, are signed: "A. Siraut" (Albert Siraut (1865-1937) he worked at Mrs. Vve Vermeren Coché and then at Demeuldre Coché from 1887 to 1937) and annotated in a handwritten way on the reverse: "Pavos" "Dahlias simple", "Pavots", "Iris Iberica Hoffman", "Camellia Mad. Lemonnier", "Pyrethrum souvenir de Vandervinnen", "Azalia impératrice des Indes", "Rosier hybride remontant", "Clématite hybride de Cripps", "Chrysanthème d'automne". These have a round stamped gold mark. Others are later reproductions, they are neither signed nor annotated. They have a mark with the stamp in red: "Ets Demeuldre" "Brussels" surrounding the alder, tree symbolizing Ixelles and "B". PROVENANCE: private collection House Demeuldre-Coché
