PHOTO (1966) entitled "l'oiseau du ciel "by René Magrite, 30 x 42cm.
This was designed at the request of Gilbert PERIER in 1965, Chairman of Sabena. Between 1966 and 1973, this emblem became my airline's emblem on all objects, clothing, magazines and so on.
With the arrival of the Airbus, SABENA underwent a partial facelift.
In 1998, René Magritte's "Bird of the Sky" was installed on the wingtips.
