CYFFLE Paul Louis, FAÏENCERIE de TOUL XVIIIe, circa 1780/1790 Pipe clay group (fine earthenware) entitled le Savetier et la raveudeuse, large and beautiful group created by Paul Louis Cyfflé Size Debossed mark on reverse of base BELLEVUE BAN DE TOUL "Le savetier et le raveudeuse by (Cyfflé) CONDITION to be restored Comment Important group created by Paul Louis Cyfflé in his Lunéville factory between 1769 and 1780. In 1777, he decided to leave Lunéville and return to his native Belgium for 1780; he sold his molds to factories in eastern France, most of them in Toul. From then on, these factories remade Cyfflé's models according to his molds; hence this group presented here.
